In order for personal change or transformation to take place, every Christian believer must seriously think and pray about being involved in a small group. Christians At Work greatest mission is to help its members realize first, the importance of joining a small group and second, how critical it is to see not only what you will get out of the experience but more importantly what you can offer others through your God given spiritual gifts, talents and life/business experience.
One of Christians At Work's Marketplace Training Center focus is on training small group leadership and providing on-going support.
We will be posting articles written by experts and Christian At Work members to help all of us better understand that nurished hearts and relational commitment is the basis of all that we stand for as Christians and it is time that we practice our faith. We all wear masks. We hide from each other. It's part of our fallenness. That is why one of the most formative practices in a small group is confession. Confession is the appropriate disclosure of my brokenness, temptations, sin, and victories for the purpose of healing, forgiveness, and spiritual growth. Without confession we are a community hiding from the truth.

In a world where fellow believers are dropping like flies to immorality, discouragement, isolation, loneliness, and lack of true accountability, are you out there hacking it out alone? Perhaps even twisting in the wind…alone? Or are you choosing to travel with a company of committed likeminded warriors like my friends who are intent on helping this needy pilgrim remain on the right path until he crosses the line into eternity? If you are electing to go it alone, I wonder what the odds are that you will end well with God ? January 17, 2007 • Randy Kilgore • General "How do I know what God wants me to do?"
Especially around career choices, Christians often feel like
they're on their own when it comes to knowing where God wants to
use them. Many get stuck in the fork of the road because they're
waiting for some magic sign that assures them they're headed the
right way. Especially in our Western culture, this rarely
comes.
January 17, 2007 • William Davis • General I’m reflecting on one of my favorite passages in the book, ‘The Four Loves’ by C. S. Lewis. “In a perfect Friendship this Appreciative love is, I think, often so great and so firmly based that each member of the circle feels, in his secret heart, humbled before all the rest. Sometimes he wonders what he is doing there among his betters. He is lucky beyond desert to be in such company. Especially when the whole group is together, each bringing out all that is best, wisest, or funniest in all the others. |
